Queen Anne’s County Recognizes Michael Whitehill for More Than a Decade of Service to Economic Development
The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners recognized Michael Whitehill this morning for his more than a decade of dedicated service to the Queen Anne’s County Economic Development Incentive Fund Commission.
Whitehill has served on the Commission since its inception on May 14, 2013, contributing his time, knowledge and experience to support economic development efforts throughout Queen Anne’s County.
The Economic Development Incentive Fund was established to support programs and initiatives that foster new commercial opportunities while encouraging the continued development and growth of existing businesses in Queen Anne’s County. The Commission helps guide those efforts by identifying viable programs, developing policies and procedures, reviewing applications and making funding recommendations to the County Commissioners.
During Whitehill’s tenure, the Economic Development Incentive Fund has distributed more than $3.1 million in conditional loans to 43 businesses, supporting business growth, investment and economic opportunity throughout Queen Anne’s County.
Through the proclamation, the County Commissioners expressed their sincere appreciation to Whitehill for his longstanding commitment to the Commission and his service to the economic development interests of Queen Anne’s County.
